Event: Selecting a Destructible?

Hey

Im trying to find out if i can make a trigger like this:


Event:
Player x selects a destructible
Condition:
Destructible type equal to xxx
Action:
Kill selected destructible


That possible someway?

No, not really, even Gameplay Constants do not allow targeting destructibles like units.
Try this though:

Code:
Events
    Unit - A unit Is issued an order targeting an object
Conditions
    (Target destructible of issued order) Equal to <X destructible> (or (Last Created destructible))
Actions
    Destructible - Kill (Target destructible of issued order)

nah if i cant detect it it cant be done any other way.. ill figure something els out..

You can make a custom unit, and have it look and act like a destructible, then have the event *unit* is selceted.

Exide, i thout of that either, but know that units can't have a model of a tree, because it also requires textures. Have you ever seen in the models section tree with texture? It will be just a white thing. Plus, it will cover much of space and lag when having units.

Exuro, have you tried the trigger or you just believe that it won't work?

Only if you pick the model from the wrong section. -Pick it from Doodads, instead. For example: Doodads\Barrens\Plants\Barrens_TreeDoodad\Barrens_TreeDoodad9.mdl - which is a barrens tree-model.

nah i havent tried it..

But is selecting a doodad the same as issue and order?


EDIT: I could swap the model to a Unit instead, but it would require way to much work in triggers and Target As/Targets Allowed to be bothered changing..

I can find other solutions.. maybe not as optimal but doable. :)

ya but wut i am saying is are you. say trying to have a bear plow treas over or can you have it were a hero is selected and every time you click a tree it will die?.......................

Lol no, its as simple as im saying it m8...


When a Player Selects a Destructible = Destructible (Dies/Gets Removed)

No units, no bears... player selects, and pop its gone..
