Sci/Tech Explosion At ThePlanet Datacenter Affects 9,000 Servers, 7,500 Customers

An explosion Saturday evening at a Texas-based, privately held server hosting provider has caused server outages effecting 9,000 servers and 7,500 customers.

According to The Planet's website, at about 5 p.m. Saturday electrical gear shorted, creating an explosion and fire that knocked down three walls surrounding their electrical equipment room.

Yup - this server was on ThePlanet during the great crash where we lost 6 months worth of data.

My business email was also hosted on a server there. ThePlanet - what a nightmare that company has been for me. My business email is still not working.

Man I am still having email problems because of this. ThePlanet Sucks! They are so bad they are hurting me email and it is not even on there server right now LOL.
