Extracting Info

How do you extract info/stats from your map and edit them?

My map is getting big and it take quite some time to make 1 small change, so hoping to look for a better way.

ya there is
and i use it too

i set 1 folder of maps of war craft 3 -trigger-abilities with trigger
i set 1 folder of maps of war craft 3 -models tests-icons test
this way is much more esier
than later i willl open my map and will import al to my original map

if u want change doaads its quit impossible
u need to make a back up make and remove all triggers all units all impoted but thats not good :O

I mean teach me how to import and export cos I am new to this. And wat program do you use to edit the exported files?

Use a program called MPQ2K to extract them and use a text editor/excel to opne them.

I used another extractor which gives me w3u files, so what do i open them with?

I installed MPQ2k but it didnt work. So i installed a similar program WinMPQ. Now i am not sure which file is it that i should extract? I am trying to extract unit info.

Use a Text Editor or Spreadsheet Editor to open the extracted files. I don't know which one contains the unit data but war3.j contains the tiggering.
