Fade filter doesn't work…

Yet now matter in what sequince I arrange "Turn cinematic mode on", "Apply camera" and "Fade out and back in in 2 seconds, using black mask etc…", the camera fades out first, then fades in, then waits half a second, and then applies the camera. How can I avoid this? There is no "wait" or "don't wait" option like in transmissions.

well by default there is no wait associated with a fade out, the trigger should just go and read the next action straight away.

Just for clarity's sake, lemme say what a 2 second fade out means:

It means that by the time it fades to black, approximately 1 second has passed. And by the time it fades out, 2 seconds have passed.

Therefore you need to wait approximately 1 second after the fade out BEFORE applying the camera.

Please help. Even now, I'm making a cinematic. If the trigger code is incorrect, I'll have to change all the cinematic triggers.

You should just be able to add the wait command. Like creating an effect on the map. Lemme use 5 for clarity.

1 Fade out over 5 secs
2 Wait 5 secs (for it to fade out)
3 Pan camera over 0 seconds
4 Fade in

Compare to my special effect.

Create a ripple 1000 wide over center of playable area over 5 secs
Wait 6 secs
Explode (unit)

um, yeah I should probably try opening the editor before answering questions like this. Dan has saved my rear end this time, just do what he says.

rule of thumb: if you see no option in a trigger action for waiting, then assume there is no wait associated with the action.
