Anyone else buy this yet? I'm finding it a lot better than Fallout 3.

They improved on a lot of the issues with Fallout 3, and the graphics have improved a tad, noticeably with the hair.

i enjoyed fallout 3 but not nearly as much as fable 2, so im probably going to pick up fable 3 sooner than new vegas, but since im an rpg fanatic il prolly end up grabbin this too.

Okay. So I bought the game off of Steam and started a new game, and a few seconds later I thought I was playing fucking F.E.A.R or some shit.

So no idea on that, but Melee Weapons are overpowered in this...

Probably because you are playing on an easy difficulty.

I'm on Hardcore mode? I put everything to the hardest, I just maxed my hand to hand skills with weapons...

Yeah, I've read a lot about melee weapons being overpowered too, but who cares really? It's a single player game. And if you don't like 'em, dont use 'em.

Anyway, here is my char and my bro Boone patrolling the the Mojave Wasteland, and hot damn, it almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter.

the most overpowered guy in the game. He kills enemies before I even noticed them. (Took 1 headshot to kill the nightkin)
That's why I never use him.

He sure as hell is overpowered, but it's not like you play the game for balance anyway. But yes, after finishing the game with him I decided to try something else.
That is why I decided to give Raul a shot on my newest playthrough and he was a lot more interesting.
I did get kinda mad at the game yesterday. Just been in Vault 21, and all of a sudden the NCR MP at the strips start shooting me, I act in self defense and butcher them all with my supersledge and all of a sudden fuckaloads of securitons starts attacking me and yet again, I act in self defense and there I am standing, villified with The Strip. Yey.
