Farcry runs better than BFV?

System Specs

Pentium 4c with 512mb DDR running 800mhz fsb HT and 9600xt with all new drivers for all components.

BFV runs ok but occasionally chops a bit at 1024x768 with all details on. I turn down the details and lower rez same thing. I even lower my resolution even more and reduce details and same thing.

I crank Far Cry with all details at 1024 x 768 and I find I have no issues at all. No chopping no nothing yet the game is way more demanding than BFV.

Wonder what gives between the two games as I would expect BFV to run smooth like glass with my specs.

Anyone else have similar specs and its doing the same thing to them?
 
same here .
i let farcry detect my system and it put everything on the highest setting .. and it runs smooth as silk.

bfv has issues .
bfv is created on the 1.3 bf1942 engine (that was the worst version of bf1942)
lot has todo with sound settings . dice totally messed up EAX.
just compare the sound to farcry compared to bfv when it comes to surround 5.1 helluva difference ..

BFV has bin rushed bigtime .. farcry has bin developed alot better tho i read alot of issues with ati owners .
 
Ati 4.4 drivers is out I will report my findings later tomorrow to see if some issues were resolved. According to the release notes they are at least aware of some of the issues us BFV players is havin.

yeh i noticed the same thing too. I hear a bfv patch is coming soon, heres hopin.
 
yeah from what i read on the EA page they are talking to ATI now .. wich makes me wonder about bfv all in all ..
o well we will see .
i hope they fix the friggen EAX crap also .
 
The sooner the better. Thought I was the only one wondering what was going on with my sound.
 
I play wherever I can get the best ping, but if you guys have a server, would be nice to reg one. I'd probably be there often.

    this is the fix I get from that yeah this is hard to control. disabling bots is pretty much necessary as ai and other bots would push really old threads to the top. reduce weight of view count. disable guest view tracking if you really want to push active threads to the top. a bit of tinkering for a few days with the weights and other settings should get you a decent trending widget box.

    One thing I have noticed and I dont know if it is by design but like 1 out of 3 times I come to the site the Anubis screen just hangs open, if I refresh it will go away but sometimes it hangs

    Wow - the change in the stats are major. I kind of knew it was all bots but wow, to see the effect. Why the social media sites cant do something like this I have no idea.

    Probably inflates their numbers so they look better to advertisers.

    Yeah google does not filter those bots. I remember when Apex was doing Google ads I saw the same IPs in there as I was seeing here - google is totally tracking all those bots as traffic and most google traffic, at least ours, was all bots
