Finding Mobo and drivers for it

Is there a program i can find that will tell me what type of mobo i have, so i can update the drivers for it.

this is a factory built pc
 
using berlac advisor i found my board, but does the date on the bios mean that the drivers are from then (07/25/00) if so is this a bad thing as in system performance, could this cause crashes?

Board: Asus K7M 1.04
BIOS: Phoenix Technologies LTD 2.00 07/25/00
 
You should check Asus's tech site for any BIOS revisions.

From time to time, the Mb manufacturer will release a new Bios flash. However, these types of updates are not as frequent as peripheral driver updates. Example: through 3 computers now, I only needed to perform a new flash once.
 
well i went to there site, found 4 in 1 drivers (i assume thats what i need?) but there werent any for xp

could i just use the win2000 ones or what?

this seems like its going way over my head :(
 
okay i am running Windows XP and i am going to get the xp drivers, is there anything i should know before i get them and any procautions i should take while installing?
 
okay i downloaded the xp drivers, and it says no amd components found and cancels the installation... so what now
 
do you have Windows XP?

What was the technical problem that made you think to look at the mainboard and it's drivers?
 
well i have been having random crashes lately, and i have updated video drivers, but have never updated updated the motherboard drivers since i got the computer some 2 1/2 years ago.

I was just thinking that maybe these crashes could be due to old drivers on the motherboard. I have added another stick of 128mb ram to the pc, it was doing this before i put the extra ram in, to try to fix it but to no aveil. It crashes just like it did with 128mb ram. And yes it does recognize the ram it says i have 256.

    this is the fix I get from that yeah this is hard to control. disabling bots is pretty much necessary as ai and other bots would push really old threads to the top. reduce weight of view count. disable guest view tracking if you really want to push active threads to the top. a bit of tinkering for a few days with the weights and other settings should get you a decent trending widget box.

    One thing I have noticed and I dont know if it is by design but like 1 out of 3 times I come to the site the Anubis screen just hangs open, if I refresh it will go away but sometimes it hangs

    Wow - the change in the stats are major. I kind of knew it was all bots but wow, to see the effect. Why the social media sites cant do something like this I have no idea.

    Yeah google does not filter those bots. I remember when Apex was doing Google ads I saw the same IPs in there as I was seeing here - google is totally tracking all those bots as traffic and most google traffic, at least ours, was all bots
