What's the point of doing reviews for freeforums? If your going to host a forums, do it yourself.
There are plenty of free-hosts out there that allow you to host forums.
Every experience I've had with freeforums has been terrible. Hosting and using.
What I'm saying is, if your going to host forums, what's he point of using freeforums?
Eventually, if it gets big enough, you'll have to move to your own server, and the majority of freeforums won't let you make (free or not) database backups, so everyone will have to register again, and you'll lose all the posts.
That, along with the inabilty to upload new plugins, themes, and such, and a limited ACP.
So yeah, he can review them, but take it from someone who has used them (both managed and was member of): They aren't good. If you really want to host a forums, get a host.
I didnt review any free forum sites, and I don't plan on doing it either. Free forums are a complete waste, if you really want to make a site you can get off your ass and get hosting.
All of the ones listed are forum systems that you install on your own host. On that note, I may add a few new reviews soon when I get time, no promises though.
Another issue I'm learning is that a lot of the air quality sensors don't work at very high ambient temperatures. I'm planning on heating this enclosure to like 60C or so, and that's the upper limit of their functionality
Although I don't know if I need to actually actively heat it or just let the plate and hotend bring the ambient temp to whatever it will, but even then I need to figure out an exfiltration for hot air. I think I kind of know what to do but it's still fucking confusing
I don't think I'm dealing with quite the same pressures though, at the very least its a significantly smaller system. For the time being I'm just going to put together a quick scrubby box though and hope it works good enough to not make my house toxic
I do know this - xenforo dropped the ball by not keeping the vbulletin reputation comments as a feature. The loss of the Reputation comments data when we switched to Xenforo really was the death knell for the site when it came to all the users that left. I know I missed it so much and I got way less interested in the site when that feature was gone and I run the site.
