Wow, Robin Robinson. Use good judgment much?

The Fox Chicago news anchor has been at the station for 24 years. So you would think she would know better than to go on live television and say, “There is no Santa.” But no, apparently not.

Earlier this week, the 9 P.M. news program was doing a segment on children’s unreasonable gift expectations from old Saint Nick. At the end of the segment, Robinson and her co-anchor, Bob Sirott, engaged in a little mini-debate on how parents should handle the issue.

Sirott said parents should tell kids that there is indeed a Santa, and if they don’t get what they really want then they should just blame him. That in itself is pretty cynical, but it’s nothing compared to Robinson’s argument.

She said, apparently unaware that children possess the ability to hear, “Stop trying to convince your kids that Santa is Santa...There is no Santa.”

Doesn't seem like a big deal. He was arguing that parents should tell kids that Santa is real. Don't see how that isn't just as bad. Either way, it's basically saying that Santa isn't real, whether the parents choose to tell their kids he is or isn't.

I believe when a child is ready to say that Santa is not real it should be their decision not the medias.
