Alrighty...
To HOPEFULLY make sense with my question, let me explain WHERE it is coming from.
I used to play Neverwinter Nights. I love the idea of building maps that are interconnected. You walk off the edge of map001 and you auto-jump to map002.
Is there ANY way that you could do something similar in WC3?
I am looking for a multiplayer capable option here. A way that several players could not only have huge maps... BUT there could be several maps tied together to give the players SEVERAL areas to spread out in.
I am looking for something where the maps stay loaded in memory and the AI still runs for that map even when there are no players there... this way, the computer-run units/forces would continue doing what they were doing even when there are no players on that map.
Did I make sense?
Is it possible?
Just curious in case someone else has already done this...
