Hello, I have BF1942 and RtR. Today I updated to patch 1.31 and the game crashes to desktop. I could play the campaign of the original BF1942 but thats it. If I try to play RtR, it crashes to desktop. As a matter of fact, I cant play any custom game because it always crashes to desktop, without any error message. I click custom game, choose the game, hit activate, and go to desktop.
Ive played the game successfully a while back but now it wont work (havent played in a while).
Also, why does the BatteField 1942_EZ info show incorrect info? It says Im on DirectX 8.1 when Im on 9 and it says my processor does not meet minimum rewuirements, which it does.
Here are my system specs:
------------------
System Information
------------------
Operating System: Windows 2000 Professional (5.0, Build 2195) Service Pack 2
Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) Processor, MMX, 3DNow, ~1.4GHz
Memory: 256MB RAM
DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0 (4.09.0000.0900)
---------------
Display Devices
---------------
Card name: NVIDIA Dualview
Chip type: GeForce4 Ti 4200
Display Memory: 64.0 MB
Current Mode: 1024 x 768 (32 bit) (75Hz)
Driver Name: nv4_disp.dll
Driver Version: 6.13.0010.4104 (English)
-------------
Sound Devices
-------------
Sound Card : SB Live! Audio
This seems to be a common problem. Hopefully EA will fix it soon.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
If you need more info let me know.
P.S. I changed the 0 to a 1 in VideoDefault.con and it didnt help
