Back when I was playing windows XP w/Logitech driver, i noticed a "gamplay" bug with Diablo 2 and certain situations. If you use normal attack as a barbarian with two weapons, and hold the mouse button down while attacking a monster, the first swing would hit, the second would be *garunteeed* to miss (even if you had 95% tohit), the third would hit, the fourth would miss, etc. However, if you clicked rapidly instead of holding the mouse button down, you do get all your hits. This is quite an annoying bug if you don't want to destroy your mice like with D1, and also affected the assassin's claw-specific attacks.
I noticed it in 1.09b and tested and found it still to exist in 1.09c, on realms and open. However, now I have gone back to windows 98 and am using the default mouse driver, and the bug seems to be "fixed". I get every attack as I should when holding the mouse button down. This is strange, and points to some sort of driver incompatibility maybe with D2? Is it possible that a mouse/driver could behave differently with reference to such a bug?
