A leading candidate in Cologne's mayoral race has been stabbed in the neck by a man claiming to be angry over the country's refugee policies.

Henriette Reker - an independent candidate supported by Chancellor Angela Merkel's CDU party - was seriously injured along with an aide. Three others suffered minor injuries.

Local police said Ms Reker, 58, was "stable, but not out of the woods".

Police have arrested a 44-year-old German national and Cologne resident.

The attacker told police he stabbed Ms Reker "because of anti-foreigner motives," senior police investigator Norbert Wagner said.

The suspect appeared to have acted alone and had no police record, Mr Wagner added.

Ralf Jager, a regional interior minister, said: "The first signs speak for a politically motivated act."

The attacker will undergo a psychiatric examination to establish whether that was his primary motive or whether he had a health problem.

No, don't. He doesn't work and receives social support. He is just envious that refugees get more support than he does.
ALSO, if someone gets the job and you don't, it usually means you suck at what you do. Additionally, if you don't fucking educate yourself, you're bound to support shit right wing parties.
Don't get me wrong; commitment is nice. But I'll rip your di*k off and drill multiple new assh*les with it into your body if you're going to start killing people for made up reasons, to cover up for your own incapability.

Though seriously, I agree with Kmilz - this is a man who went above and beyond to stop those fucking refugee fuckers from being allowed to be safe. Whatever his lifestyle or reasoning, it takes a lot to go stab someone and that gets props.

But let's flip the situation around and say that he stabbed the mayoral candidate because Reker was anti-refugee, and was going to great lengths to promote legislation that would strip all funding for refugee assistance as well as supporting legislation that made their entry into the country even more difficult. Would it be okay then?

No matter which way you slice it, that dude was more committed to this task than any of us have ever committed to anything, I can guarantee you that. That's admirable.

I was adapting to American customs, swearing but censoring a part of it, so that kids have no clue what I'm talking about. I thought I'd get through with it without you noticing.
If you don't know who Maria is, then I guess I'm the better American? Just seems weird.

The loss of the Reputation comments data when we switched to Xenforo really was the death knell for the site when it came to all the users that left.
