Getting Kicked Off Of D2 B.net

When i talk to cain, i get booted from b.net for like, 30 minutes. I know this has something to do with people duping using cain, but i've never duped before! this is very annoying and would like an explanation why i was wrongly tagged by blizzard! And, if someone could, please tell me how to get rid of this stupid thing!!

Are you sure you were tagged ? Having your CD-Key tagged restricts you to play with cheaters.

Oh yea NNR. This is being reported all over the place on the Open Tech Support forum on battle.net. (http://forums.battle.net/opensupport/)

1. The player talks to Cain in Act 4 for the Hellforge
2. You get disconnected from battle.net and are unable to reconnect for up to 30 minutes.
3. When you do get reconnected, you are "Tagged".

I don't know if anyone has discussed why it is happening. Some people think Blizzard's countermeasures against dupes/hacking has caused it.

This also appears to have just cropped up within the past 24-48 hours.

If I see anything on battle.net's Open Support Forum, I'll let you know.

Actually, diabloii.net posted something about it.

Here is what they say:

As part of their fix the latest hack/dupe, (which used packed sending related to the soulstone spawning bug) Blizzard has accidentally introduced a minor problem. If you talk to Cain in Act 4 and have not yet done the Hellforge quest, you will be disconnected when he gives you the Soulstone, either that game or as soon as you do it again next game. Your character will also be flagged, and unable to join a realm for 30 minutes or more. Blizzard is aware of this, and looking to fix it while keeping the last hack disabled.

Does getting booted then offer you the message, "Realm Down?" Because this has just recently been happening to me too and I'm getting irritated.... I don't think it's just with cain because if I try doing the Izual quest I get booted too, either when I've just finished killing Izual, getting close to killing Izual or getting near Izual. ARRRGGG Very frustrating. User acct on LOD is HeavenHost. Look me up and we can play.
