Getting Sisoft Sandra benchmark to run

Sisoft Sandra will not allow me to run the "File System" benchmark. It says "the test file is too fragmented (x fragments)" where x is usually between 30 and 60.

I've tried defragmenting my drive with at least 3 defragmentation programs: the built-in Windows defragmenter, Diskeeper and O&O defrag.

I am at a loss as to what to do
 
try running it in safe mode, right after the post beep when you turn on your machine press f8 a bunch of times and you should get a boot menu.
 
It wouldn't run in safe mode. Something about device drivers not loading.

Any other ideas?
 
will the windows defrag go all the way through in safe mode?
 
The Windows defragmenter doesn't get past 1% in safe mode.

    I'd rather personally just own a backup of the Nuon data than see it go to AtariAge honestly. If it gets enshittified as per usual, or if some of the "regular" Jaguar folks get there, it's not gonna be fun
