V1.1 update

HateBreeder-This "Dig" thing... I think you shouldn't make the Worm pop up, so you see a bit from it. And as for the walk animation, I think you should make the Worm walk upright, like in the Attack animation (Just move the Head and such =) )
Done.
Ashcat-and just make it look like a little mini dust storm above ground or something.
Done.

Tinki3-Though...
"This is the test map so to figure out how to import it into your own map check out how its done on this map"
...is not a very good quality Read Me.
The "SandBreath Area Damage" trigger leaks, you'll also need to fix that.
Fixed. I'm not sure if the trigger is leakfree, but I think maybe it is.

about 900, dont really matter though.

more critique! Is it perfect now?
I made it at scale 0.99 to allow for shading, and it looks better. For some reason I dont know, all wc models shade better when you put change their scaling from the default values.

Gah...
You didn't make the Replacable Texture less transperent though...
Let me show you how it looks like, if you make the textures of replaceable Texture's Filter Mode to "none":
Clipboard05-3.jpg

I am not using it as it is in the pic, I just wanted to demonstrate how it looks like when setting the filter Mode to "none".

That doesn't seem like alot to me. You mean too big as in file size or too big as in model size? You can change the model scaling in WE.

What is like the limit for file size on models to go to b.net?

id say.... both.....

nearly 500 kb is very much IMO if you think that 5 mb is the bnet limit.......

V1.2

  • Fixed some UV wraping on the head area.
  • Fixed teeth in stand animation so they move with the gums.
  • lowered file size on portrait by removing all mesh not seen by camera.
  • Squished all mdx files in mdx squisher which seemed to have no effect in lowering file size at all /anger

Lowered the total size from 473 to 466. every kb counts lol.

only prob I see is with the size, pretty unusable online
not if the model was the main subject of the map. :D

Real nice model, love the animations, altough it would be alot cooler if the walk animation was more like the morph animation (when he dives down into the ground)

Okay, I'm gonna give you rep because it looks like you put a lot of work into it. I don't make models, so I don't know how hard it is to make, but this looks pretty good.

When you're playing, you can see through it's parts, even inside and down it's tubular body. That sorta kills the killer mood the sand worm puts you in. :\

I really enjoy the devour ability.. it's fun. :D

When you move, it turns a lot, I figure because it's so big and the units are so small. It changes targets and turns, but it's really noticeable since it's so big.

I do have to say, it might look cooler if it were smaller, or it had smaller clones/forms. I really do like the burrowing, though.

I included a screenie to show just how easy it is to see through it, in multiple spots.

If you make a boss fight with him in it, send me a link to the map. I'd love to see that.

  • Varine Varine:
How can you tell the difference between real traffic and indexing or AI generation bots?
  • The Helper The Helper:
The bots will show up as users online in the forum software but they do not show up in my stats tracking. I am sure there are bots in the stats but the way alot of the bots treat the site do not show up on the stats
  • Varine Varine:
I want to build a filtration system for my 3d printer, and that shit is so much more complicated than I thought it would be
  • Varine Varine:
Apparently ABS emits styrene particulates which can be like .2 micrometers, which idk if the VOC detectors I have can even catch that
  • Varine Varine:
Anyway I need to get some of those sensors and two air pressure sensors installed before an after the filters, which I need to figure out how to calculate the necessary pressure for and I have yet to find anything that tells me how to actually do that, just the cfm ratings
  • Varine Varine:
And then I have to set up an arduino board to read those sensors, which I also don't know very much about but I have a whole bunch of crash course things for that
  • Varine Varine:
These sensors are also a lot more than I thought they would be. Like 5 to 10 each, idk why but I assumed they would be like 2 dollars
  • Varine Varine:
Another issue I'm learning is that a lot of the air quality sensors don't work at very high ambient temperatures. I'm planning on heating this enclosure to like 60C or so, and that's the upper limit of their functionality
  • Varine Varine:
Although I don't know if I need to actually actively heat it or just let the plate and hotend bring the ambient temp to whatever it will, but even then I need to figure out an exfiltration for hot air. I think I kind of know what to do but it's still fucking confusing
  • The Helper The Helper:
Maybe you could find some of that information from AC tech - like how they detect freon and such
  • Varine Varine:
That's mostly what I've been looking at
  • Varine Varine:
I don't think I'm dealing with quite the same pressures though, at the very least its a significantly smaller system. For the time being I'm just going to put together a quick scrubby box though and hope it works good enough to not make my house toxic
  • Varine Varine:
I mean I don't use this enough to pose any significant danger I don't think, but I would still rather not be throwing styrene all over the air

I bitch about Xenforo sometimes but it really is full featured you just have to really know what you are doing to get the most out of it.
  • The Helper The Helper:
It is just not easy to fix styles and customize but it definitely can be done
  • The Helper The Helper:
I do know this - xenforo dropped the ball by not keeping the vbulletin reputation comments as a feature. The loss of the Reputation comments data when we switched to Xenforo really was the death knell for the site when it came to all the users that left. I know I missed it so much and I got way less interested in the site when that feature was gone and I run the site.
