i was wondering what is the difference between a Geforce2 32mb card and a Geforce4 64 mb card.... is it worth updating or should i go straight for the 128 but spend alot of money ?
computer games are getting more graphically intense and i figured i would have to update sooner or later. might as well do it now..
on top of my first questions i would also like to add
There's more to video cards than the amount of RAM. In fact, the amount of RAM isn't a meaningful way of describing the quality.
You need to look at its graphics processor and what capabilities it has-- this gets complicated and usually they are judged by 'benchmarking' -- running it through tests and comparing the results to other cards.
There are a few pages about the NV30 here: http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.html?i=1678 -- but you will always pay a lot for the latest technology. If you wait for its release, the price of the current "top cards" (Radeon 9700 and Geforce4 TI-4600) will drop.
One more thing: when you see "MX" in a card name in Nvidia's line, it means it is the low quality version. Geforce 4MX is actually closer to a Geforce2MX than it is to a Geforce4 TI. There's nothing wrong with the MX cards, as long as you realize that the aren't even in the same class as the better cards (hence the lower price)
I paid 85$ CAN for my GeForce 4 MX. It might not be top of the line, but for the price I paid the value is great. The GeForce 4 TI most be over 200$ here in Canada.
I would wait if I were you. Your GeForce 2 should be fine for now. Like the others said, the NV30 series will come out in the near future which will bring a price drop on the current video cards.
well there's nothing else in there that needs upgrading (except HD if you have a lot of files and are running low) so video card would be next if you have nothing else to spend money on
Yeah google does not filter those bots. I remember when Apex was doing Google ads I saw the same IPs in there as I was seeing here - google is totally tracking all those bots as traffic and most google traffic, at least ours, was all bots
Weekend went by too fast. Next weekend I am going to try to do a nature thing - buddy of mine lives by the Colorado river and has some kayaks and invited me to do some kayaking from a place he knows to get on the river.
