Actions: Unit group - pick every unit of type <MAZER>001 gen and do mulitple actions.
If/Else:
Event:
Terrain at positon of Picked unit is equal to Lorderon grass
Action: Kill unit
Comment:some where here set the movement speed to slow. So they cant cut corner

Else : do nothing

I just tried im_on_56k's kill on contact trigger again and it killed the creeps...

Okay so I looked through all of WEU and coudlnt find the terrain type. It just so happens the terrain-type comparison DOES NOT exist in WEU only in normal WE. :banghead:

a few regions

well my map is almoast done and i got like.. 156 regions ? :p
and yes ive not made them small.. anway..
should u make one and one trigger for that or
should i just:

Event: unit enter region 1
unit enter region 2
unit enter region 3
unit enter region 4

Action: kill triggering unit

? or does that work at all ? :p

That will work, a trigger can have as many (or few) event as you want.

could you give me a link to that prison escape map, i coulnt find it.

also, great tut. it should be in the user submitted, or advanced.

I dont know any where that you can download it.

I found it on europe gateway on bnet.

(it dates back to may 2003 :eek: )

Hey Jindo. I just wanted to ask something about the kill the unit when he touches the terrain trigger. When I did a leak check, it said there was a "Point" leak in the trigger. And since it's leaking every .05 seconds it would make the map very very very very laggy in just 1 minute. Anyway to fix this? I'm no good at custom scripts. Thanks in advanced.

hmm, I pretty suck at fixing leaks, maybe if it's changed to every second or something.

btw, a trigger to remove corpses reduces lag an enormous amount :).

I myself, do not understand how to do something like that, but if you search, there's like 1000 people who asked this and it got answered (thank god you didn't start a new thread).

If you watch the units closely you see how it is done, and it is not that hard to copy :).
Removing the leaks in the trigger was harder for me.

Here is the trigger I use for my map (Im from Germany, so there are some German words, but the Editor isnt that much localised, so you should be able to understand it)

        Einheitengruppe - Pick every unit in unitgrp[0] and do (Actions)
            Schleifen - Aktionen
                Set unitpos[0] = (Position of (Picked unit))
                If (((Terrain type at unitpos[0]) Gleich Eiskrone-Gletscher - Eis)  then do (Einheit - Move (Picked unit) instantly to (unitpos[0] offset by 4.00 towards (Facing of (Picked unit)) degrees)) else do (Do nothing)
                Custom script:   call RemoveLocation (udg_unitpos[0])
        Custom script:   call DestroyGroup(udg_unitgrp[0])


Note: This trigger will let you slide straight, without beeing able to controll. And you need unitpos[] and unitgrp[] as variables.


To make your units able to skate on the ice you need this one:
