.hack//G.U. Vol.2

Hello everyone , I've just finished dot hack//G.U. Vol. 1 (PS 2) and I'm wondering if it is worth to buy the second one. The problem is that the battle system is only a button "x" mashing. I liked the story , but when it came to another battle , I found it poor and repetitive.

So , if anyone has played the Vol. 2 , is it the same battle system and is the story still interesting?
