Halo 1.06 Patch Problem (PC)

Yeah well I havn't played Halo MP for awhile so I thought I may as well give it a try, so when I went to play it it said I needed a new patch.

Yep that's all good and all but when I was downloading via the Halo patcher it said I needed "admin rights". Eh? But that don't make sense because on this computer there is only 1 user, and that user should be the Admin shouldn't it?

Because that didn't work I went oon the net and downloaded it off there. But when I went to apply it it said: "Halo is not installed on your computer. This patch requires Halo to run".



Umm, yeah... I was playing it like 5 minutees ago, why the f**k could it not be installed on my computer.

Any help on this would be great.

to check to see if you're system admin go to: start > control panel > user accounts > <your account>, and see if system admin is listed under there. If not, then no you do not have system admin rights.

I would try to totally uninstall halo, then re-install from scratch, and install patch again.

Well it said I was Admin so...

Anyway, I was thinking of re-installing it anyway.
