help battlefield2 problems

I was trying to install Battlefield 2 on my computor, which is brand new by the way, and when i reached the end of disk 2 in the installation a message popped up reading "installation failed try again from the beginning". When I tried again the same message popped up at the same part of the installation. Is there a problem with my computor or is it the disk?

yeah it just says could not install try again from the begining

mine keeps giving me that error message too. :mad: if anyone has any ideas PLEASE tell me.

I just got a brand new computer. Replace the CDROM drive is totally not what I wanted to hear! :( Thanks for the input.

That was only my experience; don't go shopping just yet!

How do you manually install the game if a normal installation does not work?
Be sure that you have completed proper troubleshooting before attempting a manual installation of the game. Typically conflicts with the installation can be remedied by preparing your system for the process. The following steps should help to clear any conflicts that can cause the installation to fail.

End background tasks before installing to close any programs that may conflict as well as free up computer resources.

If none of the above steps have resolved your issue, you may perform a manual installation of the game to bypass use of the disk drive and verify integrity of the disks.

Make sure to follow the steps below exactly as they read, or else the install may not work.

Double-click My Computer.
Right-click on the Local Disk C and choose Open.
Right-click inside the window and select New, and then Folder.
Name the folder Disk Images it is important that the name has a space in it.
Double-Click the new Disk Images folder to open it.
Right-click inside the window and select New, and then Folder.
Name this folder Disk1.
Repeat steps 6 and 7 while substituting Disk1 for Disk2 and Disk 3. It is important to note there must not be a space between "Disk" and the number. If you have the DVD version you will only need the Disk1 folder.
IInsert Disk 1 of Battlefield 2 into your disk drive and if the autoplay starts, cancel it.
Double-click My Computer to open it.
Right-click on your disk drive and choose Open.
When you see the contents of the disk in the Window, click on Edit at the top of the window and choose Select All.
All the contents of the disk should now be highlighted, click on Edit at the top of the window again and choose Copy.
Open the Disk1 folder you created under C:\Disk Images; click on Edit at the top of the window and choose Paste. This will copy the contents of the disk into the Disk1 folder.
Repeat steps 9 through 14 for Disk 2 and Disk 3 until you have copied each disk into its appropriate folder. If you have the DVD version, you will not need to perform this step.
Once the disks have been copied, remove ALL disks from any drives.
Open the Disk1 folder under Disk Images and double-click on autorun.exe to start the installation.
To save disk space, you can delete the Disk Images folders after the installation has completed.

cd key stop working

i have BATTLEFIELD 2 and i just started playing it agian and i installed the patch 1.12 something like that and it will say cd key invailed when i try to connect to a server

Had just the same problem as you with the install.
Try cleaning your CD's/DVD and removing the Battlefield 2 folder in My Documents, it fixed my problem for sure :)

    Another issue I'm learning is that a lot of the air quality sensors don't work at very high ambient temperatures. I'm planning on heating this enclosure to like 60C or so, and that's the upper limit of their functionality

    Although I don't know if I need to actually actively heat it or just let the plate and hotend bring the ambient temp to whatever it will, but even then I need to figure out an exfiltration for hot air. I think I kind of know what to do but it's still fucking confusing

    I do know this - xenforo dropped the ball by not keeping the vbulletin reputation comments as a feature. The loss of the Reputation comments data when we switched to Xenforo really was the death knell for the site when it came to all the users that left. I know I missed it so much and I got way less interested in the site when that feature was gone and I run the site.
