Help o.o

Ok, Im really a total newb to mapmaking. I can do triggers and thats about it. So, i have a few questions.
A. How can i place the illegal units such as the Harvested Vespene, or Minerals.
B. How can i stack Buildings in the editor?
C. How can i incorporate color into maps?

I'm full of ideas for maps, I just can't make them the way i need too.

Allright, so starforge does the stacking but, and i don't want to be a pain, what do i have to dl for the Illegal units and the colors?

Ok I installed it, but it wont run, when i click on any of the modes, it minimizes, but nothing happens. What am i doing wrong?

Actually, Nevermind, i've fixed my problems.
I just have one more question. For the Lotr Style maps, what trigger is used to spawn the units? I'm having major trouble getting that to work for my new map.

A litttle hazy on how the switches work.. Could you please explain?
Also, what if i wanted to do the whole "Build an academy and get better units" thing, is that also with switches?

switches are for whatever you can think for them to do, they are like levers, pull them a certain way and they do something, only what they do is how you make them, in sc switches just ist ther, triggers can read them and modify them, so they can be used to keep track of things, or whatever, just be careful, you have 1 byte worth of trigger numbers (256 (0-255)) most of the times they are used for like (units comes here - set switch 5) then to follow up (if switch 5 set - kill all units for all players at everywere)
