Help Please

Hey, I'm very new to the Warcraft 3 editor but I have found its very easy to learn. I have been reading many tutorials but I have come across a fairly simple problem. Its actually quite embarassing to ask. But how do I move objects/units etc... up and down. Now as in left right up and down. You can do this with your number pad keys. I mean litrally up and down.

If you do not understand me, I will explain. I have added a hero to my map and I want him to stand on a very small object. But at the moment his legs are just going through the object. I need to move him up a little so his legs will be visable and he will apear to be standing on this object.

Click on him and hold the button down, drag him where you want him. Or copy the coordinants of the small object. It's ok everyone is a noob sometime. At least you are learning how to use the editor. I got friends who build comps and write programs and crap and they are awsome at warcraft 3, but they know nothing about world editor, I think that is sad.

Hey thanks, I think you miss understood me though. I need to move him up and down as in jumping up and down. I want to know how to move objects up and down, not forwards backwards left and right.

hmm, thats actually a bit hard a question to answer. What is the unit standing on exactly? a doodad? destructible? terrain?

atm its a doodad, But there could be a chance where I'm aligning up bridges etc... on terrain so is it possible to do it on all objects and units?

eek, can't find the dam circle of power. I had it before as well. LOL!

ok you can do it with doodads/destructibles, but not with units.

For doodads/desctructibles, go find the ones you are using in the object editor, and set their "pathing - walkable" field to true. That should do the trick.

The only way to do it for units would be to make the unit a flying unit, but that's not really a great solution....

edit menu -> find - to find things
