I have seen triggers that make the trees regrow, though I think its in JASS or something and rather complicated. Is there any way I can get my grubby little fingers on this trigger?
ive also seen this and i think i have a method of going about this:
in alot of games, when a building is in mid-construction, it slowly gets larger and larger. So it starts at, for example, a mound of dirt, to a very small version of the tree, and then it "grows" into the normal-scaled version of the tree. this gives the visual effect of looking like the tree is "growing"
well that was a pretty pointless post - you said i didnt help, you said you need the same answer. maybe i didnt help but at least i TRIED to help him out. dont post for the sake of posting. if you needed the answer than just wait until someone posts it then look at the thread again...
What I see there is just that part of the trigger :
----------------------
Destructible - Resurrect (Picked destructible) with (Max life of (Picked destructible)) life and Show birth animation
----------------------
That "birth animation".. but what's this for:
Cinematic - Flash a speech indicator for (Picked destructible) of color (100.00%, 100.00%, 100.00%) with 0.00% transparency
?? Flash a speech indicator?
KK.. bottom line, I mean't u can make this with any building, it's used in many TD's but how do u do that?
I got it with trees, but.. Example of anything else?
the speech indicator is there as a fantastic way to indicate that the trigger is working, by highlighting the trees that are about to regrow. It was a very subtle way of me saying to you guys that the speech indicator is one method to use while debugging triggers. It was probably a bit too subtle, but it doesn't matter I guess.....
Guys just a heads up I am going to be shutting the site down soon. I am just waiting on the NUON people to decide whether they want to transfer forum data and keep the discord. My email is [email protected] for anyone that wants to keep in touch and I have a facebook too. I will make an official post later. Love you guys and will miss everyone!
I'd rather personally just own a backup of the Nuon data than see it go to AtariAge honestly. If it gets enshittified as per usual, or if some of the "regular" Jaguar folks get there, it's not gonna be fun
