Hero Learn Skill Problem

I have created a custom hero with custom abilities, but does anyone know how to make him for example: level 3 from the beggining of the game? I know how to do that but how to make this hero learn these custom skills before the player takes control of the game? Can it be done like this

Hero - Learn Skill

Learn Skill for "My Hero": "Custom skill" (but the Editor doesn't allow this)

So if anyone knows how please tell me.

If the unit is pre-placed then you can double click, set level to 3, goto abilities and check all 3 boxes and level 1 each.

Or set them when he is first created like you were talking about, using 'Set level of hero' and 'Learn ability for Hero' (Might even need 'Set unused ability points to 0' if you learn them for free, now sure how that works )
