Heya!

I was thinking, maybe your computer resolution doesnt fit with WC3's?
This works for me on WoW, League of Legends and Heroes of Newerth too, no idea if it does for you!

Im running Windows XP. Maybe this have an other shortcut or interface for Vista or Windows 7.

Here we go!

Click on the "Start" button.
namnlsp2.jpg

Click on "Run".
Write there:

regedit

This will open a UI.

Go to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER.
Click and open the "Software" folder.
Down there, at "B" part, somewhere you will see:
Blizzard Entertainment.
Here you'll see a folder called "Warcraft III". Open it, and you will see other parts of this folder.
Here, go to Video.
Almost at the bottom, you will see "reswidth" and "reshight".
My computer is 1280(Width) and 800(Hight).
Click to open one of those. 2 Options. Wanna be a man, go Hexa. Wanna be nothing, click on that one below. Type in your numbers in both of those, and start Warcraft III.
Better Graphics!

This really has nothing to do with modding/mapping/barely even WC3, it's more of a general tech help tutorial.

Why have an accurate description when you can have a less accurate one for minimal effort?

The image of the 'start' button is unnecessary. I'm sure everybody knows what it is without an image. On the other hand, an image of the final location within the registry editor would be helpful.

Also, a question to everyone who's tried this: Does this actually make any difference? I'd imagine it has the same effect as stretching a low resolution image, which is pretty much what WC3 does anyway.

Well, this tutorial is kind of useful, but it really needs to be written better.

If crazy_dead doesn't mind, I'll rewrite it.

Or if he wants to, that's obviously fine.

> Why is this a World Editor Tutorial?
It fits here better than any other forum.

> If crazy_dead doesn't mind, I'll rewrite it.
Leave him be. There are only some minor corrections that need to be made. I'm sure he's perfectly capable of amending them himself.

Cool. I've been wondering how to change that since I can't change it in-game, it didn't work :p

I actually use a program that does this for me, so yes I use this method (in a round about way), and the graphics are better in my opinion. Not to mention I love playing WC3 in widescreen. :p
