Hosting Games with Broadband/ADSL

I have a problem creating games on Warcraft 2 AND Warcraft 3, have just upgraded from ISDN to Broadband/ADSL and apparently there is a known problem that if u create a game no-one can join the game and the other people get latency issues when trying to join, however, I can happily join and play other peoples games.

I do not have a firewall installed so it must be the speed of my connection to the internet going from 64 kb to 500+ kb ....

Is this problem specific to the UK or does this happen in the states?, this also occurs on Europe and US-East + West (didn't try Asia) ....

Any ideas?
 
Yeah i've got the same problem... in Australia... be cool to know how to fix it... think it might have something to do with the IP? not sure...
 
This is generally a port forwarding issue. Your DSL modem most likely has a built in router that you will need to configure in order to host games. Each modem differs as far as configuration goes, so I would suggest looking up some technical documents about your modem model on the internet.
