Since it didnt work in warcraft talk (yeah, wrong section), i am posting it here!

I look new but've allready been in there under the name of ''DemonOfNightmar'' since this account is dead (can't remember the password), i'm returning.

But now, i have a little hosting problem. I did like asked in the website (the helper of sd ryoko) and did configured my firewall and added the 2 ports i was told to add (Blizzard1, Blizzard2, IP adress, 6112 port, TCP and UDP).

But now, i have a router and need to fix it up (i hope you know how to). Yeah i need to do it but i don't know how to find it since i have windows vista and the programs are at different spots... If anyone know how to find my router's configurations and know how to fix it, please help me!!

Vista or not, configuring the router at your home is essentially the same.

Key in the routers IP adress into an explorer bar. Most new routers support configuration in this mannor.

Try 192.168.1.1 :D

If you get hit with a password prompt, either its something you set up or factory default. Most routers come with documentation (they have to) telling you what the default is.

If your using a router with your cable, then I honestly wouldnt use windows firewall. The router essentially is a firewall by nature... it simply doesnt forward ports without your instruction.

WOW, SD_Ryoko come to the forum and answer MY thread, extrm!

But since i figured out everything, found password and username in another topis, this post was a lil useless but i give it a +10.

Now, the only thing i need to figure out is how to enter the router as an admin since iZ'm only an user (password: blank, username: user)....

I think i changed my password (the default one) to another one causing me to not find it anymoar. I think the only solution is to call my technician!

But still, thanks for the help SD!

Long time no see :p

Lol, or you can just reset the router

I think he meant reset to factory settings.

There should be one of those buttons that you need a needle to press. If there is, press that and hold it down for 5-10 seconds then restart your router. (Unplug, plug back in)

If your trying to reset the password on the router, theres often a tiny, black reset button either on the bottom, back or front. Mine is in the back. For good practice, hold it for a little while.

For some routers, this requires a special proprietary tool called a paperclip. We sell a variety of these for $4.99 each plus shipping.

After you've done this, the password should be the factory settings.

Two suggestions.

1. If you no longer have the paperwork and installation instructions that came with the router, go online to look for a PDF or HTML manual, using its manufacturer and model number.

2. When you combine 'factory defaults' and 'passwords' in the same sentance, the results are often one of follows:

(blank) / administrator
Admin / Admin
Root / Admin

How can you tell the difference between real traffic and indexing or AI generation bots?
  • The Helper The Helper:
The bots will show up as users online in the forum software but they do not show up in my stats tracking. I am sure there are bots in the stats but the way alot of the bots treat the site do not show up on the stats
  • Varine Varine:
I want to build a filtration system for my 3d printer, and that shit is so much more complicated than I thought it would be
  • Varine Varine:
Apparently ABS emits styrene particulates which can be like .2 micrometers, which idk if the VOC detectors I have can even catch that
  • Varine Varine:
Anyway I need to get some of those sensors and two air pressure sensors installed before an after the filters, which I need to figure out how to calculate the necessary pressure for and I have yet to find anything that tells me how to actually do that, just the cfm ratings
  • Varine Varine:
And then I have to set up an arduino board to read those sensors, which I also don't know very much about but I have a whole bunch of crash course things for that
  • Varine Varine:
These sensors are also a lot more than I thought they would be. Like 5 to 10 each, idk why but I assumed they would be like 2 dollars
  • Varine Varine:
Another issue I'm learning is that a lot of the air quality sensors don't work at very high ambient temperatures. I'm planning on heating this enclosure to like 60C or so, and that's the upper limit of their functionality
  • Varine Varine:
Although I don't know if I need to actually actively heat it or just let the plate and hotend bring the ambient temp to whatever it will, but even then I need to figure out an exfiltration for hot air. I think I kind of know what to do but it's still fucking confusing
  • The Helper The Helper:
Maybe you could find some of that information from AC tech - like how they detect freon and such
  • Varine Varine:
That's mostly what I've been looking at
  • Varine Varine:
I don't think I'm dealing with quite the same pressures though, at the very least its a significantly smaller system. For the time being I'm just going to put together a quick scrubby box though and hope it works good enough to not make my house toxic
  • Varine Varine:
I mean I don't use this enough to pose any significant danger I don't think, but I would still rather not be throwing styrene all over the air

I bitch about Xenforo sometimes but it really is full featured you just have to really know what you are doing to get the most out of it.
  • The Helper The Helper:
It is just not easy to fix styles and customize but it definitely can be done
  • The Helper The Helper:
I do know this - xenforo dropped the ball by not keeping the vbulletin reputation comments as a feature. The loss of the Reputation comments data when we switched to Xenforo really was the death knell for the site when it came to all the users that left. I know I missed it so much and I got way less interested in the site when that feature was gone and I run the site.
