how to make building give xp

how do u make buiings give xp to heros......iv turned on buildings give xp in the game constance but still doesent give xp

I don't know if it's possible in other way, else you can do it with triggers as last solution.

Check the unit type. You got many different types?

Maybe you just did something wrong there too? Else you could also make a unit with the building's model etc.

its at machanical maby f i change it to nothing ill try that




now the buildings wont build so nah that dont work

If you don't have newgen, change your building into a regular unit (temporarily), and look around for unit level. It could be 0, and units at level 0 give no experience.

Nifty towers

A "Hero" tower would have the build of a Hero in Object Editor, but be a tower still. You make the unit a Hero, then change the model to a tower. That way, it has the Hero build while looking like the tower you want it to be. If they are pre-placed, in WE, before the game starts, then this is an easy and good idea. However, if the Player can place the building, then it's a terrible idea.

If the Player can place a "Hero" tower, then the Player can place it anywhere, even all the way inside another tower/building. This is because they are units, and do not have the same restrictions that buildings do (pathing and ground texture and such).

So, are your buildings going to be pre-placed in WE, or will the players place them? (i.e., in DotA, they are pre-placed, but in Tower Wars/Defenses and such they are placed by the player).

If you change the building into a unit, change the level to something not 0, and then change it back into a building, it should work.

Sorry that I forgot to mention that you can change it back into a building and it will retain the level. It was late, and I was tired.

ok thx thats working but how do i no ho much xp u get for each lvl

ivchanged the hero xp gain-normal,level factor to 10

witch means u get how much xp per lvl can any 1 explane thi to me
