how to modify a button?

Hi,

I created a button like this

damage: 20-25
range: 3
attack speed: 3

special: 5% chance to poison enemy for 6 seconds


I made an upgrade which add 2 seconds to the poison effect
now here is the question:

how do I modify the button like this?

damage: 20-25
range: 3
attack speed: 3

special: 5% chance to poison enemy for 6 seconds (+2 seconds)



(I have the same upgrades for stun, slow and corrosion)

in the tooltip you dont have to write the numerical ammount but instead you have to refer to the effect that you need.
I took a look to the existing buttons and i found that thing but i could'n understand how it works becouse i have no familiarity with effects.

hmm, well you can refer to a data value, such as the duration of a behavior. I use this in a map of mine. If I level up an ability that increases the damage of an effect, I modify the damage with either an upgrade or the Catalog Field Value Set action. Changing it with either of those, will change the text on the button.

I just want to make a trigger:

event: upgrade '2 additional seconds' is bought
condition: none
action: modify button text to '............'


Isn't this simply possible?

yea, use the Catalog Field Value Set action, as stated above;
Code:
        Catalog - Set value of Buttons 10SlotBag Tooltip for player (Triggering player) to "............"

yes, it's stricticly important that the other players still se the normal button because they don't have the upgrade yet

What do you mean? this is a trigger action, not something you should put in a button.

The trigger action will change the text of the button.

X-maul means that when you use the Catalog function, only change the value for the player who has the upgrade, not (All Players)
