How to understand the computer product(s) just by looking at the model name?

Under the condition that I don't rely on Internet resources, or someone who specializes in this field tells me the model's properties.

I meant some way of reading the model names just like how we read tire codes.

There isn't a way to do this, as each company has different model numbers and model number systems...

Pretty much, you can only approximate in things like video cards. Higher primary # = later model, higher 2nd # = stronger version of the model.

When you hear people conversing about technology based on model numbers that probably means it's something new so there is hype around it and everyone knows about it more or less, at least those who care enough.

there are a few indicators, but it's different for each piece

for motherboards the chipset is usually in the name (ex: p55, x58, h55, etc.)

for graphic cards, the 1st number is the generation, the 2nd is the general how powerful the card is, and the 3rd is like a fine-tune on how powerful the card is

for CPU's it should have the number of cores, black or extreme indicates one that is unlocked for overclocking, etc.

for memory it should have the speed within the name

for hard drives the RPM and capacity usually

PSU's the max wattage

etc.
