If you are getting one of the new VCS systems it is broken out of the box. The VCS will not currently automatically update due to the old OS version contained on the VCS. You have to follow the directions in this video in order to Flash your VCS operating system with a USB stick. Good news it is easy to do and does not take too long.

I am impressed that Atari was able to implement this USB solution and have it be so seemless. There were bound to be problems with this system since it was a Kickstarter thing but this USB Flash fix is awesome and gives it a more polished feel. If they ever do another production run you can be sure it will not need this but as long as they are still selling the original batch they made - this process will have to be done - Guest mode does not even work without this.
