i cant connect to bnet

i havent been on starcraft for a long time, and now when i goto multiplayer, instead of the usa west/usa east europe, asia, that i am used to, it shows up with 5 choices: battle.net 1, battle.net 2, battle.net 3, etc. When i try one of them, it takes some time untill a message pops up saying: Unable to connect to Battle.net. You may be trying to connect to an invalid Battle.net server. WELL DUH!!!
What's up with this?!

By the way... what lovely programs would do this to such a poor and tattered soul (i need my starcraft d ammit!)?
 
I think they're most commonly found with no-cd patches, since the logic is if you don't use the cd, you're probably pirating it and want to play on free servers. Sometimes it could also be a part of a trojan, or it could also just be a stand-alone program that was designed to just get on free servers.

aww... that sucks... probably is da cd crack... so this all wouldn't have happened if my cd hadn't been broken (damn my impatience)... is there any way i can fix this that you know of(damn my incompetence)? *sigh* (damn trojan horses) grr... (damn this corrupted world that allowed me to screw up my beloved starcraft...

Well there is a way to get a replacement CD from Blizzard, for a $10 fee, but its faster and cheaper to just buy another copy (SC is very cheap now)

If you use a no-cd crack, the battle.net servers won't let you on because they detect that the .exe file has been hacked. So you need to get a valid copy of the game. Then reinstall using the new copy and follow the server list reset instructions above and everything should work.
 
You may just have to reset your servers, check the support page at Blizzard.com for help with it (Run Regedit from your "run" option on your start menu then find Bnet and delete it.)
 
He's already tried resetting his server list, but since he keeps rerunning the no-cd crack, it keeps resetting em back.

regular starcraft is usually priced at $10 in all stores now, and battlechest is $20, so it's probably just worth it to go get it at the store then go buy a replacement cd.
 
Even though you bought it, your registry information is still invalid from the no-cd crack. Make sure that you reset the server list and no longer use that program. You may also want to reinstall (especially if you just used a no-cd crack that overwrote the starcraft executable).

My problem was sorta the same...but i didnt use a CD crack and the servers were still east/west ..(etc)

I get the error that says i cannot connect to battlenet and everytime i want to log onto battlenet I have to delete the battlenet .dat file in the Starcraft folder and delete the battlenet reg key folder.

    Depending on how you pour the oil the consistency can vary wildly, but that's true for most emulsions. I can only make about two quarts at a time with my robo coup, and if I have to make several in series because I forgot to order it becomes really obvious even when I do it. We have to wait and mix them all together to make sure we have the same thing.

I serve 400-500 guests on average per day right now, if I had 100 then we could do things way better

I do think I won though, I have to keep my fucking core staff and they have to be gainfully employed

She can do it no problem, I've worked with her there.
