What if you had a level up rollback? It'd be an extra challenge to try to stay at level 9 because if you go to level 10 you are suddenly placed back at level 1. You'd have to fight less, and it'd make it a lot easier for the noobs, who will still lose anyway because they wouldn't know how to control their hero efficiently, but eh, what the hey.
Just a strange idea I had for conan in particular. Call it growing older and state that your amateur son replaces you after you die at level 10. He'd have the current hp/mp and the same position as the hero had before he died, so don't worry about suddenly seeing your dying opponent suddenly turn to level 10 and vanish.
