I need help about... event time (PHP)

I want my site to send emails to people every two days:

I know how to send mail but I don't know the "event"

please help.

I meant to say if your site is on Unix, not you yourself. Luckily even if your site is not on Unix but on Windows there is a similar feature called Task Scheduler.

Yes often Linux also has cron jobs. If you have cPanel there should be an icon that's labeled "Cron jobs" under the "Advanced" category.

Make sure you do NOT use the mail() function every time.
Look into SMTP mailing with libraries such as PHPMailer
