I need ideas and assistance for my map.

My map is called House builder, i hav a beta version posted on the old Warcraft.org site, and i need ideas and assitance for this map. I believe it is a good idea, but it is the first map i hav made (but i hav been messing with the editor for a while now). It is posted on www.warcraft.org in the custom maps section and is on pg. 146 and is the one without a picture (all black). If you have any ideas or suggestions, or would like to develop the map with me, reply to this thread or pm me here. It was very frustrating for me, this is like the first time ive ever used triggers :banghead:

Any details on the map (I just can't be bothered downloaing it and playing it [heck, can't even host games so...]).

(i cant host either :banghead: (i love this smilie! :banghead:)) anyway, the map can have anywhere between 1-10 players, but should have at least 3, and this map is just for fun really, like a chat room or something, but you actually get to build a house using walls (custom made building). Your starting camera position is on a "pad" where you have a unit called "You" that can build a recruiting station, which can train a contractor. The contractor does nothing, but is required to make the other units. Next you make a worker or two, and they build the walls and are required for the electrician who builds the electrical lines. He is required for the plumber who builds plumbing lines, who is required for the insulator who also does nothing but is required to upgade the walls to the final level (as you get each professional you upgrade the walls you have built till they are green) then you can hire a furnisher who can bring in furniture (so far i only have couches) and then you can look at other ppls houses and watch the fight in the center of the map. also in the center of the map is a sample of all of the walls and stuff you can get (not the furniture yet thou havent updated map yet, althou i jus finished 2 days ago) put kinda simply thats a description of my map :banghead:



right now it is kinda boring (meant for chat room (this is why everything takes like 30-90 seconds to build) not meant for one person) this is why i need help, plz try it :D :D :D :D
 
I dont know what rf means but i'm guessing its some sorta bump. Well as it says in the rules only bump once every 24 hours so keep that in mind.

BTW: If I can't host it I can't play it, so I can't really help you on anything.
 
Well i played your map and i got some reviews from other people..

1. Needs more furniture
2. Needs a Tv
3. Needs a kitchen
4. Needs a garden
5. Needs more of a point.
6.Needs a way to win
7. Needs more gameplay

    this is the fix I get from that yeah this is hard to control. disabling bots is pretty much necessary as ai and other bots would push really old threads to the top. reduce weight of view count. disable guest view tracking if you really want to push active threads to the top. a bit of tinkering for a few days with the weights and other settings should get you a decent trending widget box.

    One thing I have noticed and I dont know if it is by design but like 1 out of 3 times I come to the site the Anubis screen just hangs open, if I refresh it will go away but sometimes it hangs

    Wow - the change in the stats are major. I kind of knew it was all bots but wow, to see the effect. Why the social media sites cant do something like this I have no idea.

    Probably inflates their numbers so they look better to advertisers.

    Yeah google does not filter those bots. I remember when Apex was doing Google ads I saw the same IPs in there as I was seeing here - google is totally tracking all those bots as traffic and most google traffic, at least ours, was all bots
