make something easy, rpgs take alot of time to make, like the one im making i have more than 50 hours in it. and i started it 2 weeks ago.
A simple td can be good.

Im talking about a simple td for beginners.

My first map was a tower defence, and i laugh at it now.

When i first made my first map i created a straight line across the map for the creeps to walk through and i made 1 trigger for each round.

I made 1 race you start with.

Most people here would be glad to help. Just ask any questions you have in a new thread.

On a general note, we all understand how you feel about wanting to make a cool map. However, 56k is right; don't do it if it's beyond your ability. Believe me, I wanted to make a huge TD when I first started, but it was way beyond me. You'll get better the more you do.

also if your goal is to make a td go, on bnet or warcraft.org and get some td's that arent protected and study the triggers within them thats how i learned a lot

sqrage please read OTHER peoples posts, and his. He is starting a map, he is NEW to map making. His goal isnt making it the best td on bnet, or even a popular. He is still getting used with the world editor.

uh.... notice he says TDs? that maybe means he wants to make a td no?.......maybe u should be the one reading other peoples posts and who ever said he wants to make a huge map.. the way u learn is by seeing somthing premade in front of you and trying to break it down yourslef

sqrage does have a point though. Looking at other people's maps is one of the best ways to learn, especially for a new mapmaker.

Be sure you understand what you are doing, though, and not just copying and pasting the triggers. Doing that is useless.
