I Really Need Some Ideas...

Has anyone made a decent rpg that they would send to me via email? My computer won't download them for some reason (probably coz its a heap of junk).

Noone is going to send you their RPG for you to copy. I bet you are trying to steal their map.

56, you cannot openly accuse someone of anything. Notice he didn't say what he's using it for? He might want RPG's to play...Protected or not! Try to be a bit more open minded. I'm not saying you're wrong and that this person is deffinately NOT trying to steal maps, but you have to give people a chance.

Anyway, why don't you try to be a bit more clear when asking for maps? Like 56k, people might get the wrong idea if you just bluntly ask for them...Just a word of advice.

Oh common! i am a noob to maps, i love the rpgs that my friend makes but u r all pros so i just want some ideas, serioudsly.

That doesn't mean much. In case you haven't noticed, this is a forum for WE help...Naturally, if you look around, I'm POSITIVE you'll find some questions you would ask, and the answers. Learn by experimentation. Start small, stupid little spawns and Hero revivers. That's how I started, and honestly, I think that's the best way. You can work on big stuff later. Or, hell, just ask! We'll help you if you put effort into it!

That's how this community works.

What type of "RPG" are we talking about?

What kind of "idea's" are wanted?

Do you want to play other people's maps or just get idea's from them?

Do you want advice on "creating" maps or just the advice on plot?

I usually try to be as specific as possible when I post a thread.

But, that's just me.

56k, as well as myself, are Special Members. We get a few advanced options with posting and such. One of them being changing our status (See how mine says TheHelper's Jester? That's my custom "status")

lol, good....idea? anyway special members are people who are very helpful and very knowlegeable who have been helping people at the site for a long time.

Actually, that's not entirely true. Conan, as far as I know, has been here the longest of the 9 Specials. I myself only started in (I believe) February.

We're hand picked by the Moderators and Administrators for our helpfulness, drive to do what we can for anyone, and for our ability to keep to the rules.

Naturally, they accidentally picked me!

Thing of it is, you are skilled with triggers and the editor, and you've made a bajillion posts per day (you at 550 in like 2 months).

This is true, I do about 10 posts a day (regardless of that stupid counter! It's out to get me, just you wait and see...) But not all of them are answers to a problem. I spend some time in the General Discussion, in such threads as the Writer's Corner, and Idiotic Discussions (both of which were created by me) I also post quite a bit on my OWN thread, for my New Age of Warcraft map. (However, the old thread for it had about 71 posts from me...Sadly, I accidentally deleted that)

And to be honest: I'm not great with triggers. They're not THAT hard, but that's because a lot is just sort of common sense...If you want to do this, this has to happen, and this has to be true. Ta da, trigger.

I actually wrote a quick easy-to-understand trigger explanation some time ago, that I will find the link for and either bump it or post it here. Maybe both. But in February (and I'm sure Conan himself will have MUCH fun telling you this ) I was a trigger idiot. I even thought you had to WRITE all that stuff in!

Luckily, though, the people of this forum helped me, tons. That's why I'm still here. And I think that's why I'm a Special. Because these people helped me, so now I'm going to help other. Fair trade.

Each short plot description starts with the title of the plot pattern. After a hyphen the main characters to be found in the plot are given, separated by commas.
