Icon help

i tried very hard, but still can't find a way to make it display, i mean my icon, when i tried to put in to import manager, and i done all the step, i done convert to blp but i'm not sure what is alpha? so what is alpha, can some body teach me.

do you still have your tga image? use warcraft 3 viewer to convert to blp.
this program has auto size , remove aplha color.
www.wc3sear.ch go to tools and try to find wc3 viewer on of those pages
and check the path name.

Ok here's the problem, now even worst, when i past the name in object editor it crush, and when in game crushed too, be4 i use warcraft3 viewer is like a black icon and green, ok here's what i do: i downloaded it, use photo shop to convert it to targa format with 32pits, then use warcraft3 viewer to convert it to blp, and set the name to ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtons\BTNknight.blp.

So what problem i get? i cant figure it out? so can u teach me step by step or u know what step i did wrong.

first u get this blp image and open with warcrat 3 viewer check if the image is ok:

step 1:Import to Manager and change the path name to the right one:
example:ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtons\BTNknight.blp
step 2: save the game and close the world editor:
step 3: open the game and go to object editor and check if the image shows up:
step 4: creat a Disable BTN
example:ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtonsDisabled\DISBTNknight.blp
step 5:save and close world editor:
step 6: check both:
step 7: go to game and check BTN and them presss f10 to check DISBTN:
done:

didn't you read the first line of the icons tutorial?

All icons in Warcraft 3 are 64 x 64 pixel 24-bit pictures in TGA or BLP format.

but warcraft 3 viewer auto configure that to 24..

ya i read it, but i'm using warcraft3 viewer so need to use 32pix.

after the smiles them look bellow and u will find Additional Options them comes Miscellaneous Optinos them Attach Files - with a button "Manage Attachment"

Ya i forgot to tell u one thing, i think it's important, when i convert it to blp, the file is 0kb.

Ok this what i do, download a small picx, open photo shop and save it as targa, then open warcraft3 viewer and convert it to blp and then i fought out the file is 0kb and in wrold editor it will get error when i click it, em... just like whenever i do something that will make the picx display, then it will crush and get error.
