Icons help

I read the WET but i still cant get it to WORK :banghead: !
Plz tell me if im doing it wrong!
1)So first i copy and paste the icon
2) i open abole photoshop and save as under .tga
3) i do BTNForceEdge.tga and i click 24b pic no 16 or 30some
So for so good right?
4) Then i go to import editor
5) i right click and do import file (not files right?)
6) i got to my ability after and...
7) click the art-icon then go under import in the gray box
8) i find my icon then click on it
9) but it never shows UP!!!!!
Plz help me on this !

Make sure you change it to the correct path. Tell us what sub folder and stuff it is in.

You read the forum? Apparently not very well...

ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtons\BTN + Lightning + .tga = BTNLightning.tga

What you have is the file. You need to make the three folders IN the Warcraft fold: ReplaceableTextures, then inside that make CommandButtons, then inside THAT make BTN. Then try to reimport it, save, close the editor, and open it again. (I've been told for some odd reason that the icons don't show up until you close and open it.)

Next time, actually read the tutorials. There's no need to lie about it.

So i go to import editor and make 3 folders?
So i got the the ability and do
IMPORT-BTNFORCEEDGE.tga
CUSTOM-ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtons\BTNFORCEEDGE.tga?

I read the tutorial on custom icons, and managed to get the BTN<name>.tga and all worked out perfectly. However, I still do not know how to get the DISBTN<name>.tga working. Everytime I approach a shop, I can see the items with their custom icons, but as I move out of range or press F10 for the menu, those icons simply turn into green boxes. I know this has got something to do with the DISBTN<name>.tga but I cannot seem to get it working. Anyone know how to resolve this?

in the custom icons tutorial, did you read the sections "Importing your icons" and "My icons don't work" ?
