Our new Terms of Service will go into effect on May 15, 2023. We will be focused on removing old, unused, and inactive content that is not tied to a user account from our platform as well as nudity, pornography, & sexually explicit content. You will need to download/save any images that you wish to save if they no longer adhere to these Terms. Most notably, this would include explicit/pornographic content.

This means, probably the 80% of all of my contributions to The Headline News with embedded image links will become link rots when displaying embedded images in the thread, because I haven't registered yet. Not just me though.

Some of the front page submissions on Reddit have been affected as well, with top posts in the upper 10K upvotes being deleted.

This is to be expected however, given there is no such thing as a free place to upload images permanently (or at least more than 2 years by internet standards). Hosting a site that stores billions of images on the database isn't cheap, and it's quite costly to maintain the amount of free storage space to keep uploading them.
