Really, no threads about this?

Awesome movie, as usual from Quentin Terrantino. Extremely violent though, good for some, better for others. (And bad for some.)

I loved this film. I did not think it was as violent as you seem to be making it out to be, but then maybe I've just been desensitized by years of playing violent video games and watching Die Hard since the age of 9 :D

It felt unique in its style (apparently it is very Tarantino-esque, at least that's what my friend told me (I have not seen any other Tarantino film)) and was also quite funny in places.

Also, it is not very historically accurate :p

i dont think you can dispute it being violent, people getting scalped, getting shot in the head until it dissintegrates, getting beat to death with a baseball bat, 100s of people burning alive and nazi signs being carved into foreheads. I prolly missed a few things

The title is so annoying :/
Inglorious bastards would be a better choice >_>

Very thoughtful...

I heard the Brad Pitt Italian speaking part was funny.

I never said it wasn't violent. Just that it doesn't seem so much to me :p

Its spelled incorrectly on purpose to distinguish it from an older film titled Inglorious Bastards. I like the misspelling, it gives it a unique feel.

Anyway, the movie was phenomenal. Another brilliant film by Tarentino. To those who didn't expect the level of violence, I can only ask: Have you seen QT's other movies? (one of them is called Kill Bill for god's sake) Anyway, I can't advise the movie highly enough. The last line (and scene) of the film was mindblowingly good.

I didn't find it that violent compared to tarantinos other films
Yea it shows someone getting scalped and a swastika getting carved into someones forehead but still, not that much
Maybe violent is the wrong word, its not as gory as you would expect from tarantino. And I was actually dissapointed by this movie. It was still good, just nto as good as it coulda been. Hint to any who see this in theaters, when its at the seen in a tavern, leave to go to the washroom then, its long and most of it is pointless. They coulda cut out 45 minutes of the movie and not missed anything important. Also Brad Pitt is fucking amazing in the movie

Tavern scene was great and it leads up to everything that happens afterward...

And I personally don't think any of his previous movies were as gory.

Terrific movie. Tarantino builds some of the most intense, insane, suspenseful, entertaining scenes. That first scene with the French dairy farmer was near perfect and the tavern scene was good, too.

Really? Hm, The tavern seen had decent parts, but when they're just doing small talk and playing cards, I found that extremely boring

Yeah, but it was build up and with out the proceeding scenes wouldn't have been nearly as good.

Watch it again, it's definitely more eventful than you're thinking. It reveals a lot about the characters.

Most of the people in the main part of that scene die at the end of it though so you don't really need to know more

The dialogue was witty and the characters were so believable. I could feel the tension in the room.

I want to build a filtration system for my 3d printer, and that shit is so much more complicated than I thought it would be
  • Varine Varine:
Apparently ABS emits styrene particulates which can be like .2 micrometers, which idk if the VOC detectors I have can even catch that
  • Varine Varine:
Anyway I need to get some of those sensors and two air pressure sensors installed before an after the filters, which I need to figure out how to calculate the necessary pressure for and I have yet to find anything that tells me how to actually do that, just the cfm ratings
  • Varine Varine:
And then I have to set up an arduino board to read those sensors, which I also don't know very much about but I have a whole bunch of crash course things for that
  • Varine Varine:
These sensors are also a lot more than I thought they would be. Like 5 to 10 each, idk why but I assumed they would be like 2 dollars
  • Varine Varine:
Another issue I'm learning is that a lot of the air quality sensors don't work at very high ambient temperatures. I'm planning on heating this enclosure to like 60C or so, and that's the upper limit of their functionality
  • Varine Varine:
Although I don't know if I need to actually actively heat it or just let the plate and hotend bring the ambient temp to whatever it will, but even then I need to figure out an exfiltration for hot air. I think I kind of know what to do but it's still fucking confusing
  • The Helper The Helper:
Maybe you could find some of that information from AC tech - like how they detect freon and such
  • Varine Varine:
That's mostly what I've been looking at
  • Varine Varine:
I don't think I'm dealing with quite the same pressures though, at the very least its a significantly smaller system. For the time being I'm just going to put together a quick scrubby box though and hope it works good enough to not make my house toxic
  • Varine Varine:
I mean I don't use this enough to pose any significant danger I don't think, but I would still rather not be throwing styrene all over the air

I do know this - xenforo dropped the ball by not keeping the vbulletin reputation comments as a feature. The loss of the Reputation comments data when we switched to Xenforo really was the death knell for the site when it came to all the users that left. I know I missed it so much and I got way less interested in the site when that feature was gone and I run the site.
