Install from CDROM issue?

Heya folks, I bought a new game today, Tribes - Vengance. I liked it from the demo and decided to buy. :) However, when I attempt to load it up to install from CD, it gives me an error just after the InstallShield Wizard configures the windows installer:

(in top window bar - Unhandled Exeption)
Error Number: 0x80040702
Description: Failed to load DLL: IGADXSupport

Setup will now terminate.
----

clicking okay brings up the tribes vengance installshield wizard, with the front picture for tribes, saying the wizard was interupted before install was completed etc.

Quite annoying. All other CD's play just fine.
Specs:
Windows 2000 Pro
AMD Athlon 1800XP
512MB DDR 3200
CDRW 2440 AOPEN

After running the error code through google and looking over the results, it looks like the problem is registry related. Therefore, you may want to find some kind of registry scan/repair tool and run that then try the install again.
 
perhaps when you uninstalled the demo it didn't remove the registry keys? search through your registry to see if there are any tribes keys still in there. Don't delete anything though if you are nervous about wading through the registry.

(start -> run -> type "regedit")

again: don't delete stuff if you are unsure, feel free to ask us about it
 
So, did you find an answer to your problem ? i have the same one ! and cleaning up the reg doesnt work...

I have the exact same god damn problem, I actually had tribes vengeance working twice but i had to reinstall because of corrupt files it's bullshit wtf is IGADXSupport, PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!! I'M LOSING ONLINE GAMING RESPECT!!! I TRIED ALL THE STUFF ABOVE, IT DOES NOT WORK!

    this is the fix I get from that yeah this is hard to control. disabling bots is pretty much necessary as ai and other bots would push really old threads to the top. reduce weight of view count. disable guest view tracking if you really want to push active threads to the top. a bit of tinkering for a few days with the weights and other settings should get you a decent trending widget box.

    One thing I have noticed and I dont know if it is by design but like 1 out of 3 times I come to the site the Anubis screen just hangs open, if I refresh it will go away but sometimes it hangs

    Wow - the change in the stats are major. I kind of knew it was all bots but wow, to see the effect. Why the social media sites cant do something like this I have no idea.

    Probably inflates their numbers so they look better to advertisers.

    Yeah google does not filter those bots. I remember when Apex was doing Google ads I saw the same IPs in there as I was seeing here - google is totally tracking all those bots as traffic and most google traffic, at least ours, was all bots
