Internet delay

Hi!

I've got a stable broadband connection with a router but i've recently gotten a delay before i can use the connection after i reboot. It only occurs on my computer, not any other one in the network. It even happens on other networks. Please help me! I think it might have something to do with the registry settings, but i don't know how to fix them.

I would try...
1. connecting (if possible) without the router
2. Go to dslreports.com and run their tests
3. Check tech support on your router
4. If number 1 solves the problem...
try a new port on the router
update firmware
new router

What operating system do you have? Do you get these delays when browsing other local computers?

I had a couple WIN2K systems that kept checking for scheduled tasks on the network when you browsed it, and it took quite a while to load anything up. Especially between a WIN2K and XP system.

Theres also a registry line to remove that solves it. I beleive the latest service pack fixed that as well.
