Invalid cd-key ?!

Hi

I just bought my game, but I can't play online, because every time I try to connect to a server, it says Invalid cd-key.

How do I solve this problem ?

Yes, I have applied the newst patch, and the game was sealed to.

I have send the same question to the Support at EA, and I hope to get some answers soon from them.

Saw it on ea forums

the letter o on your cd key should be a Q---printing error

There are no letters on my CD key, only numbers.

Unless the zeros are O's which shold be Qs.

the orginal game contains numbers only .

EA shouldbe able to provide a new cd key .

in-valid cd-key

i have to many accounts that i forgot the passwords to and even the other email addresses. Idiot of course?!! how do i erase these accounts and start with a new one. ea games and gamespy can't help????? Please i nees to get back to kicking %#@&^

Ok dudes this is a problem with the new BF2 patch. It encrypts the cdkey in the windows registery (i cant spell). I had the same problem and solved it but i resently got a new comp so i forgot which program to run to get the the registery. The answer was in the EAGAMES help FAQ section but i cant find it. I hope this refine your search.

ok dudes heres how to fix it:


Sometimes a conflict in the updated files can prevent the game from properly identifying your CD-key. Usually, refreshing your CD-key will resolve the issue. Note that this will only correct the error if you used the same Windows account to install, patch, and troubleshoot the game. If you have switched Windows accounts at any point it is recommended you uninstall, reinstall, and repatch using the same Windows login.

If you have Battlefield 2

Click Start.
Go to Run.
Type regedit and hit OK button.
Click on plus sign next to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
Click on plus sign next to SOFTWARE.
Double click on Electronic Arts folder.
Double click on EA Games folder.
Double click on Battlefield 2 folder.
Double click on ergc folder.
Data displayed will probably have x9392 only.
Right click on it and select Modify.
Type in x9392 and then your CD key.
note: don’t include hyphens.

Example: x9392(your Battlefield 2 CD key here)
If you have Battlefield 2: Special Forces

Click Start.
Go to Run.
Type regedit and hit OK button.

Well guys I have tried everything posted here and everything every other website has posted and I have installed it 5x and even took it back and got another copy and I still get the invalid CD key thing. I install BF2 install 1.22 and go to play the game and it says it anyone have any other fixes???

The cd key was fixed but my game still crashes when i try to load a server grrrr!

Okay heres wat u do, play your battlefield 2 in the original account. (Where you started when you bought a computer) THats it. Try it. If it doesnt work try reinstalling the patch and the game.

hay guys does somebody know what to do in my problem....
when i try to go on a server on multiplayer it says (invalid Cdkey)
i tried the method you guys showed me ............ but when i went on to the multiplayer section and logged on .............. it takes like ages........ i think there isa some problem ....... and i am new somebody.....please help?????....
i am so desperate in playing it......

I got BF2 and that latest patch. but i have a similar problem. the game works on my computers admin account (my account) but my brothers cant seem to play online when they are on ther computer accuonts they get the "Invalid cd key" message when they click on join server. and i dont want them on me admin account cause they will end up F***ing something up. i got Xp, i have no clue what to do some1 plzzzzz help

    I do know this - xenforo dropped the ball by not keeping the vbulletin reputation comments as a feature. The loss of the Reputation comments data when we switched to Xenforo really was the death knell for the site when it came to all the users that left. I know I missed it so much and I got way less interested in the site when that feature was gone and I run the site.
