Is it possible to uninstall Lord of Destruction only?

I don't think it's possible, I have to uninstall the full game right?
What I want to do is reinstall LoD (there's a corrupt file that I know is from the expansion), but the option to install isn't available. Is there any way I can re-install LoD into a game folder with the x-pack already there? The problem is that my D2 Classic CD is scratched, and can't complete the full installation (stops somewhere at d2data.mpq). So I can't uninstall the whole game, and re-install from scratch.


Can anyone help me?

Have you tried copying the d2data.mpq file to the Diablo II folder prior to installation ?

If the file is already there, then shouldn't the installation skip it? Damn that d2data.mpq! Can I download it anywhere off the internet?
