Is there a way to get more Wifi Bandwidth share?
Ok..guyz i live in a hostel.....and the guy who manages our wifi network is a noob.
Now the problem is that the first few months of the hostel...everyone used to get good speeds....after that people started downloading stuff via limewire.
Since the router is password protected and the connection is shared and unsecured...there is not much i can do....and since the last month i am getting very low speeds...
Well....its a popular myth in the hostel that if you use limewire...it tends to use all of the network bandwidth....is this true?
If yes is there any way to couter it?
If not is there any way to get a greater share of bandwidth?
Also i am getting disconnected frequently...and many times i get error "Limited or No connectivity"....
Or if i am connected i'll either get ultra-low speeds....or my browser just gets stuck on "Looking Up" and then stops.
Repair works sometimes.....but if it does...hardly i'll get any speed or will get the same "Limited or no connectivity Error".
