Item Immolation Won't Deactivate

I made an item with the immolation ability (not permanent immolation) and for some weird reason, it activates but it won't deactivate. Is this an ongoing bug with world editor where immolation doesn't work with items? If so, how can I trigger it so that I can deactivate it when clicked? Yes the ability is first in the order of abilities in the item and the actively used field is "True". Help will be appreciated

Does it add an ability to the hero, or is it a buff from the item?

It's a buff from the item. The item itself has immolation and you activate by clicking the item

curious, can you set it to drain mana, and if so, does it stop when the unit runs out of mana?
