Item levels & Custom MPQ's

Two simple questions...

1: I've looked through the Gamplay Constans and lot's of settings in the MapEditor, but can't find a way to increase maxlevel on items. I would like to have higher MaxLvl on my items then 8. ( Would save alot of triggering )

2: When i make my mod/map/multiplayer-campaign for WC3 there of course will be some custom files. Is there any way to make WC3 to fetch info from a mpq-file? Or do i have to have all files in folders like oldschool?

You can change this now in User CP.

For the first one. Hold shift then click on the level you want to modify. You can make it go as high as you want.

As for the second one, no there is no way to fetch data from an external MPQ file.

There is no way to fetch data from an external MPQ file.

Wrong. It is possible. Though your custom .mpq must use the name War3Patch.mpq it's crude but it works. There's also a way to convert a .mpq to a .exe that runs wc3 using that .mpq you made the .exe with. But I can't remember if that method still works.

I've searched the web for hours but all i can find is MPQ editors...

The ultimate is if i could make my campaing like this.

1 mpq-file with EVERYTHING... maps, sounds, randompictures, etc, etc. So i can, for example, Preload "/sounds/unit/paladin.wav" from the mpq instead of from a folder in the WC3 directory

And perhaps a exe to activate the mpq. It's going to be a multiplayer campaign so i can't use the normal campaign-slots.

under your object editor, under item, go to your item, go to Stats - level, highlight it.
then Press Shift + left click 2 times, the box will pop out, key in 99 or whatever integer you like.

Ah... Thanks. Now i got it. However, it still says on some places that the item are lvl 8.

Would this condition still work if i set the item to lvl 10 & the unit to 12? or will the game count the item as lvl8 anyway?
Trigger:
  • Conditions
    • (Hero level of (Triggering unit)) Less than (Item level of (Last created item))

oh, unit......................... =.='
this 1 go to your main editor, advanced, gameplay constants, tick use custom gameplay constants, scroll all the way down. you will see unit maximum level, set it to 100.

100 is the maximum value, as like movespeed maximum value is 522

But that i know already... I wanna change the max level of ITEM's... The way you told me worked. BUt it only show lvl12 in the Object Editor... Other places it shows lvl 8. My question is if Trigger's involving the items lvl ( Example: Compares a Hero's lvl to a Items Lvl ) will count the item as lvl 8 or lvl 12.

you say object editor show at lv 12 but that "other place" show it at lv 8, where is that place?
so far, i don't meet this problem, that object lv 12 but other place lv 8,
well maybe you can try to base off the same item.

oh, =.=' don't worry, as long as your object editor set the item to 12 lv, it will remain lv 12, just that the "show" maximum value is cap at lv 8

  • Varine Varine:
I want to build a filtration system for my 3d printer, and that shit is so much more complicated than I thought it would be
  • Varine Varine:
Apparently ABS emits styrene particulates which can be like .2 micrometers, which idk if the VOC detectors I have can even catch that
  • Varine Varine:
Anyway I need to get some of those sensors and two air pressure sensors installed before an after the filters, which I need to figure out how to calculate the necessary pressure for and I have yet to find anything that tells me how to actually do that, just the cfm ratings
  • Varine Varine:
And then I have to set up an arduino board to read those sensors, which I also don't know very much about but I have a whole bunch of crash course things for that
  • Varine Varine:
These sensors are also a lot more than I thought they would be. Like 5 to 10 each, idk why but I assumed they would be like 2 dollars
  • Varine Varine:
Another issue I'm learning is that a lot of the air quality sensors don't work at very high ambient temperatures. I'm planning on heating this enclosure to like 60C or so, and that's the upper limit of their functionality
  • Varine Varine:
Although I don't know if I need to actually actively heat it or just let the plate and hotend bring the ambient temp to whatever it will, but even then I need to figure out an exfiltration for hot air. I think I kind of know what to do but it's still fucking confusing
  • The Helper The Helper:
Maybe you could find some of that information from AC tech - like how they detect freon and such
  • Varine Varine:
That's mostly what I've been looking at
  • Varine Varine:
I don't think I'm dealing with quite the same pressures though, at the very least its a significantly smaller system. For the time being I'm just going to put together a quick scrubby box though and hope it works good enough to not make my house toxic
  • Varine Varine:
I mean I don't use this enough to pose any significant danger I don't think, but I would still rather not be throwing styrene all over the air

I bitch about Xenforo sometimes but it really is full featured you just have to really know what you are doing to get the most out of it.
  • The Helper The Helper:
It is just not easy to fix styles and customize but it definitely can be done
  • The Helper The Helper:
I do know this - xenforo dropped the ball by not keeping the vbulletin reputation comments as a feature. The loss of the Reputation comments data when we switched to Xenforo really was the death knell for the site when it came to all the users that left. I know I missed it so much and I got way less interested in the site when that feature was gone and I run the site.
