Item preferences

I am trying to make an item so that it can only be picked up by a certain kind of hero. For example : Item "Shortblade" is on the ground. I want it so that only a "Keeper of the Grove" can pick up that item.

Can anyone help?

Yup.

Make a trigger like this for each item.

Item Trig 1
Events
Unit - A unit Acquires an item
Conditions
(Item-type of (Item being manipulated)) Equal to Claws of Attack +15
(Unit-type of (Hero manipulating item)) Not equal to Archmage
Actions
Hero - Drop (Item being manipulated) from (Hero manipulating item)

I'm only a novice map maker, but I am working on a map now that I think B.Net will enjoy. I'm pretty good at editing heroes and their abilites, effects, etc., but I haven't quite figured out the whole trigger and variable thing. It'll come with experience I guess.
